HCL NOTES TO GOOGLE WORKSPACE
HCL Notes to Google Workspace migration

Planning
What to plan for
Notes applications
Custom Notes databases do not migrate like mail. We inventory them and help you choose between rebuilding in tools like Google AppSheet or Forms, archiving, or retiring them.
Encrypted mail
Notes-encrypted messages may need to be decrypted before migration. Discovery identifies how much is affected.
Long user habits
Notes users often have the steepest learning curve. Adoption training is especially important here.

Questions about HCL Notes migrations
Is Lotus Notes the same as HCL Notes?
Yes. IBM sold Lotus Notes and Domino to HCL in 2019, and the product is now HCL Notes. The migration process is the same.
Can Notes databases move to Google Workspace?
Not directly. Databases are reviewed one by one and either rebuilt in Google tools, exported and archived, or retired.
